Rogue Amoeba

Some buddies and I are tossing around the idea of doing an amoeba video game. Here's a concept piece I did of the main character.

Malum Umbra

I'm composing some music for an up-and-coming gaming company in Atlanta. My first completed piece is a main theme loop for a game they are developing called "Malum Umbra," a maze type game. Check it out in the music player yo....be warned, it's scary!

Donald Duck 1934 Production Drawing

Along with doing animation, I've recently taken up collecting animation! My first piece is a production drawing of my favorite Disney character, Donald Duck, in his second film ever (his first being "The Wise Little Hen" 1934), and his first film in which he stars along side Mickey Mouse: "The Orphan's Benefit." This is an original production drawing from the 1934 black and white short, and features Donald as he is reciting "Little Boy Blue" for the orphans. "The Orphan's Benefit" was redone in 1941 with the updated look of Donald, however this piece is from the original 1934 version, featuring the earliest incarnation of Donald with a long, rounded beak and pointy toes. I LOVE this piece! Check it out below with an inset screen shot of the moment the frame is featured in the film.

Canon in Drop D

Many many years ago I was in a band...something these days it seems everyone can add to their resume. Needless to say, nothing came of it. Regardless, we did do one recording. It was actually a project for an audio production class I was in. I was a novice at the time, ipso facto, the recording isn't by any means professional, but it was a fun little project nonetheless. Anyway, it's a rock arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D, aptly named "Canon in Drop D." Check it out in the music player.

This is the official Rubbersmith rubber ball.

Models

Here are some models I made for the "Friendly Beasts" project mentioned below. Not textured obviously, this is just to give a feel for the 3D model.

ARE YOU DIZZY YET??

The Flamingo

This is a cartoon I did for a movie that I auditioned for (but didn't get the part...sad!)

Scientific Animation

Here's a small chunk of a scientific animation I did for the company I work for, SuperGen.

More protein....mmmmm, protein!

The following images were made from the actual crystal structures of the respective proteins.

Blood

The following is rated PG-13 for blood and gore. Those with a tenuous constitution or who are prone to bouts of vomiting are discouraged from playing the clip. You've been warned.

The world's largest protein!

You can eat that thing with a fork and a knife!

The Friendly Beasts

Currently I am producing an animated Christmas short entitled "The Friendly Beasts." It's a 6 minute short that narrates the Nativity through the eyes of the animals that witnessed it and the humble gifts they were able to give baby Jesus on that first Christmas. This animation will be published as a storybook/DVD combination product. Estimated completion: Fall 08.

While the animation is still a work in progress, the soundtrack is complete. Audition the music for the animation in the music player.

The Missionary Chronicles of Elder Brown and Elder White

My first published work was a series of missionary cartoons. They were released as two books, one for each year of a mission and follow two elders, ironically named Brown and White, throughout the entirety of their missions. I wrote and conceptualized the cartoons, Chris Welch illustrated them. The books are available at Deseret Book. Click on the book covers to purchase.

Here we are at a book signing.

Below are a few samples from both of the books:
